Trinity is a census-designated place in Pasco County, Florida, a master-planned suburban community roughly 25 miles north of downtown Tampa. The 2020 census counted 11,924 residents, though the community has continued to expand across its more than 3,700 acres. Trinity took its name from Trinity College of Florida and was developed beginning in the early 1980s as one of the region's first large-scale master plans. The community is organized around golf and planned neighborhoods. Fox Hollow Golf Club, an 18-hole course completed in 1994 and one of the last designs by architect Robert Trent Jones, anchors the older residential villages, while the Champions Club provides a second course and club amenities including a pool, tennis, and fitness center. Development is structured through homeowner associations and Community Development Districts, which finance and maintain shared infrastructure, roads, and amenities across the community's many subdivisions. Trinity functions as a northern Tampa Bay suburb, with a concentration of medical offices, shopping centers, and everyday retail along State Road 54. The corridor is the community's main east-west artery, and the nearby Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) provides a direct route south to the Veterans Expressway, I-275, and Tampa's Westshore and downtown employment centers. Education is provided by Pasco County Schools, with Trinity Elementary, Trinity Oaks Elementary, and other nearby campuses, along with charter options. Neighboring communities include New Port Richey to the west, Odessa to the east, and Holiday and the Gulf coast a short drive away, placing Trinity within reach of both the Gulf beaches and the Tampa metro. The community's combination of golf-course living, deed-restricted neighborhoods, newer schools, and highway access has made it a draw for families and professionals working in the Tampa Bay area.
